this is hyde, form the j-rock band l'arc en ciel. im drawing this as part of the prize for tsuki-no-neko, the winner of my contest. its actually a pretty big project, and hyde is only one of two portraits, the other one being of gackt<3 its hard to explain:) here's the photo its being drawn from: [link]

unless one of you has a better suggestion for the gackt picture. anything that would go with the hyde picture works for me:D im pretty set on the hyde pic though:glomp:
anyway, just thought id show y'all what im up to:)

im trying to better my skills in art.. i can draw the outline of the face pretty well, but how do you draw shading and lighting on textures.. such as skin.. how do you show what is skin and what is shadow.. just that part is darker.. but how do you get it to look like skin? you are an amazing artist and i look for inspiration and help in your pieces of work to help me.. if you have any advice it would be much appriciated :hug:
